Stanford University to host 2018 GLS Joint Symposium.
Stanford University is looking forward to hosting the annual GLS (Graduate Liberal Studies) Joint Symposium at Stanford in June 2018. The West Coast GLS Symposium (started by Stanford and Dominican Universities 11 years ago) has since been replicated by regions across the country and is now seen as an important way for students and alumnae/i to connect and share their scholarship. Stanford last hosted in 2009, and we are excited to welcome everyone back to the Farm.
We anticipate welcoming colleagues from Dominican University, Maastricht University, Marylhurst University, Mount St. Mary’s College, Reed College, San Diego State University, Simon Fraser University, St. John’s College Santa Fe, and University of Washington, Tacoma. The Symposium gives students and alumnae/i the opportunity to meet other regional graduate liberal studies students, and to propose, rehearse, and present their research work.
Taking place June 22–24, the Symposium will begin with a collegial welcome reception on Friday, and continue all day Saturday with presentations and a hosted lunch. The Symposium will conclude mid-day on Sunday. For further information and details on how to sign up for the Symposium, please visit glssymposium.stanford.edu.
